11/02/2008 - Progress!

I have been a busy beaver. The floor is all in, and I have started getting the body straightened back out. Lets recap where we are with pictures, shall we?

Here is the floor going together. I needed to do it in pieces due to the limitations of my Harbor Freight bead roller. It ain't perfect, but it is not bad for a novice!

Here is the floor all in and seam sealed. I decided to keep the middle tunnel, even though it was pretty rusty. I did not think I could fabricate another one. So, I reinforced it in and out with angle iron. That oughta hold it! I put the car up on a platform and jumped up and down on the floor. It did NOT fall apart! Woohoo!!

It may not be pretty, but I think it will hold!

Just for grins...seems much bigger with the tail back on it!

Bondo time! I beat the body out as straight as I could, so the bondo is really not too thick..in most places. When the builder put it together, he used bondo like it was going out of style. So, I am keeping in the spirit of the original build! :^) I should have most of this side and the top of the cowl done in the next day or so.

I will try to post more often!
